The challenge was to build a sustainable fashion project from the ground up,balancing creative experimentation with responsible production while clearlycommunicating values of craft, collaboration and considered design.
Travel, photography and sketchbooks became the foundation for original hand-drawn prints, which were developed into textiles and thoughtfully made garments. Working closely with local artisans in Bali, I explored traditional craft techniques alongside contemporary branding, creating a visual identity that extended beyond the clothing into packaging, photography and campaign art direction. Every touchpoint was designed to capture the feeling of discovery and celebrate the beauty of making by hand.
The result was a small collection of responsibly made garments and a distinctive brand world that blended fashion, illustration and storytelling. More than a clothing label, Dexter Cheung became a creative outlet, shaping my approach to branding through experimentation, craftsmanship and attention to detail.
